Dubrovnik pass includes 1-time free entry to the City Walls (Lovrijenac fort is also included), Ethnographic Museum, Dubrovnik Natural History Museum, Franciscan Monastery Museum, Museum of Modern Art, Rector’s Palace, Maritime Museum, House of Marin Držić, Archaeological Exhibitions, Dulčić Masle Pulitika Gallery, The Pulitika Studio & Bukovac House.
Dubrovnik pass also includes free local bus transport. Not a lot of people know this, but the pass also gives you discounts for different activities in Dubrovnik. See below for the list of best things to do with Dubrovnik pass.
Even if you are planning on visiting only the city walls, it can be worth buying the pass.
The price of the 1-day pass is 40 euro, the same as the ticket for the City Walls, except the pass also includes 24 hour free public transport (regular daily bus pass price 5.31 euro), and is activated from the moment you first use it.
The Dubrovnik Pass is great to have for all history buffs, culture enthusiasts and everyone looking to explore Dubrovnik’s rich cultural heritage and stunning attractions. The Dubrovnik Pass might not be a good option for travellers who have already experienced the Dubrovnik city walls or have little interest in exploring the cultural sights.
If you are on a budget, or wish to only enjoy the sun and the sea, you might be better off not buying it. If you like the idea of public transport thats included with the pass, you can buy the local bus pass for 1 day (5.31 euro) or for 3 days (11.95 euro).
There is not a special price for children or students. Only adult Dubrovnik pass is available. If you are travelling with a child up to 7 years old, you do not need to buy a separate pass for the kid, as you get free entrance and free public transport for children up to 7 years (when accompanied by 1 adult Dubrovnik pass holder).
There is not much value in buying the Dubrovnik pass for the kids, as for example, the price for city walls is 15 euro for kids aged 7-18, and free of charge for kids under 7.
The price of the Dubrovnik Pass depends on the number of days you purchase it for. 1 day pass costs 35 euro. 3 day pass is 45 euro. 7 day pass is 55 euro.
Kids under seven get free entrance to museums and galleries, when accompanied by an adult holder of Dubrovnik Pass. Older kids, teens and students pay the same price for Dubrovnik Pass as adults (no price discounts).
1 day pass is valid for 24 hours upon activating. 3 days pass is valid for 72 hours upon activating. 7 days pass is valid for 168 hours upon activating.
Dubrovnik pass is activated with the first visit to any cultural institution or by picking up a bus ticket for public city transport. That means you can buy the 3 day pass as early as April, even if your holidays are not until June, and only when you first use it the 72 hours period starts.

Choose between 2 locations: Taj Mahal Old Town (Michelin recommended) & Hotel Lero. The latter is a bit bigger, and easier to get a table. You get discount on the menu and wine list.
Mediterranean restaurants with live music every day. Located in the old port, can get quite busy.
Mexican restaurant in Lapad bay, close to the beginning of the beautiful promenade. It is cosy and far away (3km) from the hustle and bustle of Old Town. One of my favourite restaurants as a vegetarian who doesn’t eat seafood.
Lokrum is a small island located 10 minutes boat ride from Dubrovnik Old Town. It is a picturesque island, known for its lush vegetation and clear waters. It is a perfect escape from the city crowds and heat, good for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation away from the hustle.
Designated as a nature reserve, it offers scenic trails, secluded beaches, botanical gardens and many peacocks walking around. Game of Thrones fans will love taking their picture on the original Iron Throne used to film the show, while history buffs will enjoy visiting the King Richard Lionheart Museum, who supposedly shipwrecked here.
Mljet Island, located 1 hour north from Dubrovnik, is a peaceful place with beautiful nature. It is actually the greenest island of Croatia, and part of it is a National Park. It has green forests, clear water, two saltwater lakes and the legendary Odyssey Cave. It’s perfect for people who want a quiet getaway and enjoy hiking, biking or just being in nature.
Dubrovnik Pass does not include the cable car, trip to Lokrum (discount available for multi-day passes), Red History museum entrance (discount available), War Photo Limited (discounts available), and Homeland War Museum.
There are also other interesting attractions that are valuable to see but not included in the ticket, such as: Sponza Palace, the Cathedral and its treasury, Dominican Monastery, Saint Blaise Church.
Dubrovnik Pass also does not include bus tickets to Cavtat or other out-of-town locations. Only local, city transport is included.
The Dubrovnik Pass can be purchased online on the official Dubrovnik Pass website or at various tourist information centers (Dubrovnik Tourist Board Pile, Gruž & Lapad) throughout the city. Additionally, many hotels and travel agencies in Dubrovnik offer the pass for sale to their guests.
After you buy the pass, you receive a QR code that you use to enter to different attractions or receive discounts.
You can also download the accompanying app. Dubrovnik Card App gives you information about attractions and offers in Dubrovnik. It shows you attractions and offers near you (if you enable notifications and Bluetooth) so that you don’t miss anything Dubrovnik has to offer .
One day pass lasts for 24 hours, 3 day pass for 72 hours and 7 day pass 168 hours from activation.
Dubrovnik pass will activate when you first use it: whether that is by using public transport or visiting the cultural content (city walls, museums, galleries).
No need to print out the pass, you can show the QR code from your mobile phone (Save the paper, save the trees).
The pass is valid for a single entry only. Even if you buy a multiday pass, you can only visit once the cutural institutions included in the price.

In my humble opinion: yes. This is the iconic landmark of Dubrovnik town and it tells you so much of the rich history of this place. Besides, walking the walls offer stunning views of the city, and a unique perspective. You are probably here only once, so visiting the most significant attraction is definitely worth taking the time (and money) for. Even I, as a local, love to go to the city walls and have visited it many many many times. They are really impressive!
